Sport at Selwyn
Sport is central to the spirit of Selwyn College, teaching life
skills that will enable our students to soar and become valuable contributing
members of society post school.
Our vision is to
foster a love of sport in all our students so that they remain physically
active for the rest of their life. We also recognise that sport offers
many pathways and we endeavour to provide the rangatiratanga so that students
who wish to pursue their sporting dreams can develop their potential. We promote kotahitanga so that all students have the opportunity to participate
in a wide range of team and individual sporting codes at both competitive and social levels for fun and fitness.
Sports Notices
Daily Sports Notices are posted on TV monitors around the school and are also read to students during mentor time each day. Most sports meetings are held during Break 1 in the Barfoot & Thompson stadium. It's important that students pay attention to notices, in order not to miss details of meetings, sign-ups, practice times etc. Defaults and cancellations are also in the daily notices.
We also post regular notices on our facebook page for parents and supporters.

Code of Conduct
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all those involved, players, coaches, managers, parents and supporters must abide by the Selwyn College Sport Code of Conduct at all times.
Facilities
We are very fortunate here at Selwyn to be surrounded by some of the best sporting facilities in Auckland. We have three quality irrigated fields, a full grass cricket pitch, Astro turfed tennis courts and the diamond in our crown the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium. The College has plans to further develop the sporting facilities in the near future.
The future is bright for Selwyn College Sport and our sporting potential, so come join us and see how far you can go!
