Years 9 & 10
The curriculum for Year 9 students attending Selwyn College is based on the NZ Curriculum. It is designed to promote a broad and balanced education, with an emphasis on the knowledge, skills, values and competencies necessary for academic success in the senior school and beyond. The vision is to develop young people who will be confident, connected, actively involved, lifelong learners.

Senior School Courses
Students in Years 11-13 are entered into courses studying towards NCEA Levels 1-3.
Year 11 students study English, Mathematics and Science and then choose three other courses.
Year 12 students study English and then choose five other courses.
Year 13 students choose five courses.
