2022 Information

Inter-School Competition

Selwyn College offers competitive players the chance to represent the school in the College Sport Auckland tennis competition.  The competition runs in Term 1, with a junior competition also offered in Term 4, with matches on Saturday mornings.  All representatives teams train with a professional Kiwi Tennis coach on Wednesday mornings.

The cost of the programme is $80 which covers coaching, equipment and entry fees.

Each team requires a parent to act as a manager on Saturdays - all other coaching etc is taken care of through Kiwi Tennis.

Learn to Play/Development Coaching

The Learn to Play/Development Programme is aimed at teaching interested students who are new to the game how to play tennis, and to help those players who are keen to develop their skills. The programme runs on a Wednesday morning in Term 1 and is coached by professional coaches from Kiwi Tennis.

The cost of the programme is $80 per term.

Selwyn Tennis League

The Selwyn Tennis League (Term 1) is a new offering in 2022 and will be a fantastic opportunity for students to experience competitive badminton in a social environment with no travel requirements.

Students make up their own teams of 4-5 players and 4 play each week in a series of doubles matches.  The league runs on Fridays after school from 3.15pm-4.30pm.

The cost to play in the league is $5 per player per term.
